I was having problems with my ps4 stopping playback and showing various errors about dnla, even with a fully wired connection, but I think I've tracked that down to my computer going to sleep. It seems to have a much faster and probably more stable connection than my wifi does (although the wifi can handle multiple streams of Netflix and YouTube to at least 3 devices at once, so who knows). I bought a power line adaptor yesterday and used that as the connection.

Yes I can confirm that I've been able to watch an entire full length movie without interruption last night from my Mac running UMS to my PS4. If it is working ok for you, maybe you can help us with the problem. I can see that it is a very common issue but nobody has come with a solution yet. Can you stream to your PS4 for more than 20 minutes? In my case, after 20 minutes (more or less) the connection to the server is lost and I have to restart the multimedia player on PS4 in order to connect to the server again.
